Hello to everyone. I was at Calton a long time ago now. I finished in 1991. Many of my family members went there too. In fact, my niece and nephew are there now! It's good to see a website for Calton on here, but it would be even better to see some old and new photos of the school, staff and pupils.

I visited the school website today with great interest. I left Calton Road in 1953, having been in both the Infant and Junior schools. I retired as Professor of Music at the University of Nottingham in 2002, and now live near Newark. Does anybody remember me? I very much doubt it, but you never know! I( hope to visit the school again one day.

Some very special memories of my time at Calton, albeit sometimes for the wrong reasons! Staff were always there to keep us on track (must have been hard work). I was at Calton from 1969 to 1974 when Mr. Price-Smith was head. It's nice to see the place is still standing. Perhaps I'll make it to the centenary celebrations.

I'm 40 this year and have such fond memories of Calton Junior School. My special teacher was Mr Green and I still regularly correspond with him. He's no in his 80's. Hi Calton Road. Jeez, never thought I'd be here again. Well done to everyone getting good stuff on their exams and things. All I got were three crappy C's in my GCSE's. 2 in science and one in maths. so now I'm going to learn mechanics, tune cars and race for a living. Let me tell you, this won't be the last you here my name.

Toward the end of my Year 6, Mr.Gait-Carr, told my mother that I would do well at any school. I attended Oxstalls Community School, leaving in Year 11 with 9 GCSE's , then went on to st.Peter's Sixth Form. having now achieved 3 "A" Levels and going to university in September. Thanks to all staff, especially Mrs.Casciell and Mr.Gait-Carr.

i was suprised to hear Mrs Casciello was retiring. she was a very inspirational teacher and i would just like to wish her all the best for the future. also to keep a seat warm for me at her leaving party ;)

Just read the TES and nearly fell over when I see not one, but TWO mentions of Calton, well done! Has it really been four years since the last inspection? All my best to everyone, I've lots of fond memories about the place, such as Tyrone's silver hair and the class assemblies to name but a few.

It's about time you made a web site. I miss Calton SO much. Since leaving in 1996 quite a few things have changed.
